Rachel Fagiano is an avid hiker, mountaineer, rock and ice climber as well as a lover of the alpine environment. They are passionate about creating a safe and welcoming environment and improving access to the outdoors, particularly for communities that have been traditionally underrepresented in these spaces. A recipient of the Summit Scholarship, she has had the opportunity to do the 360 route on Aconcagua among other high altitude pursuits. Most days though, they are just happy to be outside and take immense joy in everything from a short walk to enjoy spring flowers to more-intense winter adventures.

Rachel is a NYS licensed hiking, camping, and Tier II rock guide and Wilderness First Responder. They are a mentor for Kinship Climbing Collective and serve on the board of Rise Outside. When she is not recreating outdoors, Rachel can be found listening to punk, watching B-movies, booping neighborhood flowers or visiting her favorite street food vendors in Jackson Heights, where she lives.
