Originally from the Pacific Northwest, Andrew discovered the outdoors in his 20’s. Armed with his first new car, he started exploring the trails of the Cascade Mountains – beginning with the famous Mt. Si trail and then venturing deeper into the mountains. His favorite trail in that area is Lake Serene.

He has experience as a mountaineer with successful summits of Mt. Rainier and Mt. Baker. He also is an avid trekker, having completed the Laugavegur trail in Iceland and a section of the Wicklow Mountains in Ireland, as well as several excursions in the Alps when he lived in Switzerland.

The next trips he wants to take include: Zion/GrandStaircase in Utah, the Milford Track in New Zealand, the Long Trail in Vermont, and the Haute Route in Switzerland, as well as the other major summits of the Cascade range. His dog’s name is Daisy.
